“East or West, Guilin is the best!”. The Karst mountains and quiet rivers feel unreal until you’re standing there. On my 3-day trip, I cruised the Li River, biked through peaceful villages, and found myself stopping just to take it all in. Every moment was unforgettable.
Day 1: Cruise Along the Li River
The Li River felt like a dream come to life. The boat moved slowly, and the peaks rose straight from the water, tall and quiet. I leaned on the railing, watching quietly. At one turn, a fisherman stood on his bamboo raft, steady as he worked. At another, a small village appeared, hidden among the hills.
Day 2: Discover Yangshuo’s Countryside
Yangshuo is the perfect place to take it slow. I hopped on a bike and followed quiet paths through green rice fields and small villages. The air felt fresh, and everything around me was calm. For something even more relaxing, bamboo rafting on the Yulong River is a must. The water was so still, the mountains looked like they were floating.
Day 3: Explore Guilin’s Famous Landmarks
On the final day, I checked out some of Guilin’s best-known spots. Reed Flute Cave was incredible. The colorful lights made the rocks glow, and each corner revealed something new. Next, I headed to Elephant Trunk Hill. Standing by the river, it was clear why it’s so famous—the shape of the elephant was obvious.
